The mission of the David Nakhid International Football Academy is to provide a positive experience to children and youth through a dedicated and professional approach to teaching football. We are committed to assisting all involved youth to become confident individuals and competent players by providing a nurturing environment with dedicated and professional staff, and high standards of coaching excellence.

The former international player of Trinidad and Tobago, David Nakhid, launched the 2008-2009 season for the David Nakhid International Football Academy at the Nijmeh Football Field and the All Sports Club. The season starts on October 7, 2008 and will finish on June 12, 2009.

Enrollment is still open for the 2008-2009 season. We have participation from all ages and from 15 different schools and universities. Our home field is the Al Nijmeh football stadium in Beirut, Manara area. It adheres to the highest international standards. Please see the School page for more information.

So join us and let your children learn football in a healthy football environment away from politics, Playstations and Gameboys!

Personal growth, competition, leadership, courage, respect, physical and mental conditioning are just a few of the benefits you should expect.

A Message from the president
December 4, 2008

Dear parents and students,

The last two months have been a revelation for my Coaching staff and I, as we continue to be pleasantly surprised at the abundance of talent that is surfacing within our expanding academy. Our players are growing from strength to strength as we have radically increased the tempo and intensity of our trainings for all our age groups. The fruits of our collective labor are apparent by our recent results against other teams, not only because we are winning but we are winning playing the kind of football that the philosophy of our academy encourages and promotes.

Our outstanding performance was no doubt our First team's display against the Beirut Football Academy, who are actually a Fourth Division team and played with older players against our 17-18 year old players. Our one and two touch football while penetrative had the crowd calling us the "Arsenal of Beirut". This no doubt is our goal and our younger team of 12 year olds went on to win the All Sports Club tournament quite easily, while also playing against players considerably older. This speaks volumes for the progress of our students and our Academy, so much so that we have been extended an invitation by the prestigious Al-Ain Academy in Abu Dhabi, to participate in a tournament in January, God willing.

One of our students, Nayef Sindiane, upon our recommendation, has recently been accepted to Duke University in the U.S.A. He should be leaving on a full scholarship for a degree in Engineering, and this is just one of the added services that our Academy provides for our outstanding and dedicated students.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the positive contribution of some of our parents, who are there supporting and encouraging at every training session. I single out Ghia Ladki, Leila Mousallem, Abu Ramy Khatib and Hussein Sleiman.

Let's continue on this excellent path and dare to to be great at every opportunity, we will only be the better for it. I am deeply proud of all our efforts and look forward to our academy staying true to our vaunted motto "Learning is Winning"!
