Amidst a slight drizzle and overcast skies I strolled into the Hasely Crawford Stadium around 4:45 PM.
I was greeted by the usual vendors at the entrance, hawking their rags, flags and other Trini paraphernalia and after disappointing an old pleasantly plump lady with a gold tooth. I met three Bmobile workers giving away balloons and Soca Warrior posters. |

 After an absence of five months, the Soca Warriors will return to action in front of a home crowd on October 7th and 11th against St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Panama respectively. The Warrior Nation is urging all supporters of Trinidad & Tobago football to converge at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on those two days to show the boys that we will be with them on the Journey to South Africa 2010. |

 Russell Latapy has been voted player of the month for August in the Scottish Premier League - at the age of 38. The Falkirk midfielder, who was with Trinidad and Tobago at the World Cup finals in the summer, says that he is relishing the twilight of his career. |
